Refund Policy
Last updated 2 September 2026
This page gathers, in one place, the refund and cancellation terms that also appear in our Terms of Service. It adds nothing and takes nothing away: if the two ever appear to disagree, clauses 6, 7 and 10 of the Terms are the operative wording, and we will read them in whichever way is better for you.
1. Before you are charged anything
There are two ways to use Cuecraft without paying, and both come before any refund question can arise.
- The free tier is permanently free. It involves no payment at all, so there is nothing to refund. You can stop using it at any time by deleting the app.
- Monthly and annual plans both begin with a 14-day free trial, and no money is taken during it. Cancelling inside that window costs you nothing.
2. The 30-day refund
If you are charged and then change your mind, email support@cuecraft.net within 30 days of the charge and we will refund it in full. You do not need to give a reason, and we will not ask you to justify it.
This is deliberately longer and simpler than the statutory cooling-off right, and it is in addition to your legal rights rather than instead of them. Use whichever suits you. We will not argue about which one applies.
3. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from the link on your receipt. Cancelling stops the next payment and leaves your access running until the end of the period you have already paid for — it does not refund that period by itself. If you are inside the 30 days above, ask for the refund and you will get it.
If we change the price, we will tell you before it takes effect. Cancel before that date and we will refund the unused part of what you have already paid.
4. How to ask
Email support@cuecraft.net. One line is enough — the address you bought with, and that you would like a refund. We aim to reply within one business day.
5. Who actually pays it back
Payments are handled by Paddle, who are the merchant of record. Paddle is the seller for the transaction: your payment is to them, your receipt and VAT invoice come from them, and cancellations and refunds are actioned through them. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's own terms.
In practice this changes nothing about the promise above. Email us and we arrange it; the money returns to the card you paid with, on Paddle's timescale for your bank.
6. The one case where a refund is not due
If we end your subscription because the licence check was circumvented or licence keys were forged — clause 9 of the Terms — no refund is due for the remaining period. This is the only exception on this page.
7. Your statutory rights
Nothing here removes or limits your rights as a consumer. If you are a UK or EU consumer you keep the cooling-off period the law gives you, and the Consumer Rights Act 2015 continues to apply to the digital content we supply, whatever this page says.
